The results show that the REED process is able to boost both productivity and product yield dramatically for the P170 expression system, and makes it feasible to produce even normally low-yield pharmaceutical components.

Several types of composite membranes were prepared out of cellulose derivatives and carbon fillers and it was found that the preparation of improved composite materials was strongly related to the polymer-filler contact and adhesion. After careful selection and conditioning of the fillers, mixed mat

Sampling interval Resistance [Ω] Detail: –0.5 0.5 –5 strongly controlled by the membrane permselectivity, inferring in this way an overall selectivity of the system that could not be achieved with the MOS-sensors alone. An important aspect of the integrated system was the transient response of the s

So far, large scale industrial separations with inorganic membranes and catalytic membrane reactors in process intensification do not exist. Two prominent developments which are near to a commercialization are discussed: perovskite membranes for oxygen separation and zeolite membranes for molecular

MFI membranes with high permeances, separation selectivities between 4 and 8.5 and ideal selectivities between 10 and 70 were synthesized in a flow system with circulation. Such high permeances and similar selectivities are seen in membranes synthesized at low temperatures. Carried out at low temper

We have prepared dense ceramic hollow fibres based on perovskites. These fibres show a good permeability for oxygen with an excellent Presented at EUROMEMBRANE 2006, 24–28 September 2006, Giardini Naxos, Italy. 0011-9164/06/$– See front matter © 2006 Elsevier B.V. Anodic alumina membranes were fabricated in 0.4 M H3PO4 aqueous solutions at 160 V and –1°C. The morphological characteristics of these membranes were investigated as function of the charge passed, and they were found to match well a theoretical model previously proposed by us.
